Snorkeling is one of the best and most entertaining ways to learn about tropical marine plant and animal species.

. Fishing.
The Mexican Caribbean is world renowned for the huge variety of fish species you can catch here, depending on the season: Marlin, Bill Fish,, Barracuda, Bonito, and Sea Bass, just to mention a few. Whether deep sea fishing, trolling or catch & release, the coast of Cancun and the Riviera Maya provide a great opportunity for the fishing 'aficionado' surrounded by some of the most beautiful land and seascapes in the world.

. Boats and Catamarans.
Known for its tranquil waters and moderate winds, the Caribbean is a paradise for sea-lovers. Sail away on the turquoise-blue sea, enjoy the wonderful panoramic views and if you want, swim or snorkel on the magnificent coral reefs. There are all sorts of sail and motorized boats of different sizes offering daily cruises, although they can also be chartered for private events during the day or at night.

. Scuba Diving.
The Caribbean's crystal clear water and gentle currents make it one of the safest and most entertaining dive spots in the world. In Mujeres Bay, and all along the coast of the Riviera Maya, there are some fascinating places to venture around coral reefs, in sunken ships, and even underwater crosses and sacred places for local divers. If you've never dived before, the Caribbean is the perfect spot to start practicing one of the greatest sports there is.

. Swimming with Dolphins.
Cancun's and the Riviera Maya's dolphinaria invite visitors to enjoy the fantastic experience of interacting with these amazingly intelligent mammals. Their educational programs allow you to play and swim with these fascinating creatures and learn more about their behavior patterns and emotional intelligence. This is a unique experience you just can't miss. Choose from a variety of activities, depending on the degree of interaction you would like to have with these beautiful ocean inhabitants.

Cancun and the Riviera Maya offer a huge variety of safe but adventurous activities that put you directly in contact with nature. Experience everything from horseback riding through the tropical vegetation or along the beach, riding an ATV over rough jungle trails and searching for lost cenotes to taking almost invisible trails to visit isolated Mayan communities. For the more adventuresome, there's zip-lining through the treetops or rappelling down into deep natural wells.

. Horseback Riding.
