Puerto Vallarta is a lovely combination of the classic beauty of a typical Mexican town, with its red Spanish-tile roofs and cobblestone streets, and modern hotels offering visitors a huge variety of first rate services. The destination has the added perk of tons of things to do, from a day resting and relaxing on the beach or boat tours to secluded beaches with crystal-clear water to horseback riding through incomparable scenery in the Sierra Madre Mountains. The list of fabulous excursions is endless, including activities like diving in the deep blue waters, swimming with dolphins, visiting renowned art galleries, an exiting adventure zip-lining through the treetops or deep sea fishing year round.
HOW TO GET THERE You can get to Puerto Vallarta by just about any means of transportation. For those choosing to fly, the international airport serves domestic, regional, national and international commercial and charter airlines from most major cities.
Immigration and Customs Visitors must present their passport and the tours card provided on the plane (one per person) to Immigration officers upon arrival in Mexico. It's important that you keep the copy the immigration official will give you because you need to turn it inn when you leave the country.
Next, you must pick up your luggage at the Baggage Claim area and then go through customs. Hand over the declaration form you received on the plane (one per family) and press the bottom on the "traffic light", if you get a green light, you can go through and leave the terminal; if you get a red light, a Custom officer will quickly inspect your luggage. A member of the Tropical Incentives staff will be waiting for you just out side to take you to the shuttle that will take you to your hotel (if you have contracted for this service.)
Custom Duties When you travel to Mexico you are allowed to bring some duty free articles with you (not exceeding US $300, per family member.) Ask your Tropical Incentives DMC representative for information on duty free items that tourists and residents may bring into the country.

Medicine / Dietary Restrictions
If you use prescription medicines, we recommend you bring a typewritten prescription of current medicines and sufficient supply to cover your stay, in their original packages and in your carry-on luggage. This will identify that you have been legally prescribed these medicines and make it easy to find and purchase refills if necessary. If you need glasses or use contact lenses, be sure to bring a spare pair with you. Special dietary requirements can be filled if you plan and advise your hotel in advance. Please let your doctor and tour director know about your requirements and be sure to confirm this with your waiter at each meal.
