Eleven Riviera Nayarit restaurants will participate extending to San Blas and Tepic. Chef Beatriz Vazquez, who grew up at San Blas, boldly affirms that, “in Riviera Nayarit, food has always been extraordinary.”
Her confidence lays on several concrete facts: the cuisine in this region has been evolving since Colonial times, receiving a great deal of foreign influence, as many European and Asian missions were established due to the intense commerce that existed with Asia, which mainly originated in Manila and arrived at San Blas.
The International Gourmet Festival organizers and authorities from the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau recently announced the 2010 edition of this festival, which will take place from November 11th-21st. They also praised the success that this important event has experienced, as it’s a catalyst to the promotion of not only Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, but also of regions extending to San Blas and Tepic, where two culinary surprises await the diners that visit these destinations looking for new culinary experiences.
